Sydney Harbour to Broken Bay. Showers at first with a sunny outlook.

We moved Venture on Friday from Farm cove closer to the heads to get a reasonably early start on Saturday.  The mooring we found in a bay just south of Manly was a private one so we crossed our fingers hoping the owner wouldn't come back that night and our luck held.  It was a bit rolly when the Manly ferries came through but otherwise a nice quiet night.

We left at the following morning early (sorry Terry) and went out through the heads at about 8:30am.  We were expecting the wind to be 10 to 15 knots from the Northwest turning Southwest in the arvo and that turned out to be reasonably except it died altogether about 11:00 and then came stronger from the North while we rounded Barrenjoey Head into Broken Bay.

It drizzled most of the morning but cleared up spectacularly as we entered Broken Bay leaving us with a glorious afternoon to find a mooring for the night.

Refuge Bay.
There's a waterfall just left of centre which we'll have a closer look at tomorrow
We ended up in Refuge Bay which lovely and peaceful.  After talking to a local (thanks Don!) I think we might hang around here for a while. There's lots to see and even though it is a bit cold, it's probably the best time of year as I think it would be way too crowded in the summer.
